Over its 85 year history The Winter Gardens has held some spectacular events, which adds to its grandeur appeal and heritage. This includes a luncheon visit by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip, a memorial service for Jill Dando, and the Ballroom was a location for the film “The Remains of the Day”, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson.
