I had wanted to get married in the Winter Gardens since I was a little girl so when the proposal came, it was top of my list as a venue choice.

We wanted a late afternoon service followed by a BBQ & party with some outside space if possible.  The Events Manager (Jim McQuarrie) took all of our requirements into consideration and recommended using the lovely Grove Suite for the service and the Garden Bar for the party and also allocated a large section of the outside space by the lily pond for our exclusive use.

Jim ensured that everything about the process went smoothly keeping us up to date as necessary.  Being a bit fussy, we had some ideas on food and he liaised with the catering manager who then came up with a selection of menus.  We were able to pick and choose from these to get exactly what we wanted.

Our wedding day could not have gone better.  Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were very attentive but not intrusive and they made us & our guests feel very welcome.  Bryan (the bar manager) and his team did an amazing job keeping the guests well fed and watered and he checked in with us from time to time to make sure we had everything we needed, which of course, we did.

The BBQ was cooked out on the terrace in full view of our guests and the quality was outstanding.  According to many of our family, it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding.

If you want a very special wedding venue (and who doesn’t?) in a fantastic location, in our opinion, you won’t do any better than the Winter Gardens.  The service we received from start to finish was highly professional, personal & friendly.  We can’t fault it.

To everyone at the Winter Gardens, thank you for making our wedding day absolutely perfect.

We arrived at The Winter Gardens after being married in a local Church. We walked over the bridge by the pond area and enjoyed our drinks reception outside, (as it was warm) on the terrace. The dining room looked more beautiful than we expected it to, and everyone commented on how wonderful the food was.

As our evening guests arrived the entertainment started, the hog roast buffet was perfect outside and the softly lit terrace alongside the pond gave a warm Mediterranean feel.

The “NOSCARS 2010” Film Awards – ‘Heroes’

We would like to thank you for your valued assistance on behalf of North Somerset, Children and Young People’s Services, ICT Strategy Team with the ‘NOSCARS 2010’ event. 

The Prince Consort Hall was bursting with pupils, teachers and parents dressed in evening wear and chattering excitedly about the occasion to come.  Winners received fantastic prizes and awards, with first prize winners receiving an Apple Macbook.  

The NOSCARS receives the attendance and support from Aardman Animations, plus the personal endorsement and support of DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, and key sponsors.

Once again thank you to you and your staff for helping us make it a success.

Angie Bray - Noscars Awards Ceremony - 16 September 2010

The Winter Gardens is such a beautiful venue and was the perfect host for our Annual County Ball and I do hope that you and your staff were as pleased with the event as we were.

We have had many positive comments about the venue and I am certain that our members would be pleased to return to the Winter Gardens in future for their events, should you so wish.

Thank you all so much for your help on the 29th April for our North Somerset Celebration. It is great to be able to have 100 per cent confidence in the venue and the staff at the Winter Gardens delivered this, enabling us to worry about all the other arrangements!

To all the staff at the Winter Gardens

Thank you so much for the wonderful service you and your staff provided for me and my guests. We were at the Winter Gardens on Friday 24th and Saturday 25th July 2009.

We all had a fantastic time and felt like royalty. The venue itself is superb.

My biggest compliment must go to the staff; nothing seemed too much or too little. Help was always at hand from the day staff to the night staff and since we had just under 400 attendees over the two days I am sure that we kept them busy.

Delightful, wow, beautiful, heavenly, enjoyable, awesome, luxurious, smashing, outstanding, marvellous are some of the comments that were used to describe the Winter Gardens experience.

I must say what a pleasure it is, to be able to thank you for your consistently high standard, year on year.

My last but not least praise and thanks must go to Jim McQuarrie and Faye. They are a delight to work with, polite, totally approachable, basically the genuine article, with cheerful personalities that encourages us to come back time and time again.

Thank you all and we look forward to our event next year.

I had my wedding ceremony in the Grove Suite at the Winter Gardens and afterwards held my reception in the Vineyard Restaurant.

The whole event from start to finish was flawless.  It was very well organised and everything flowed smoothly, from the ceremony, to the photographs in the ballroom and outside pond area, to the reception welcome drinks and the wedding breakfast itself.  Nothing was left to chance and the attention to detail was second to none, right down to the tableware, linen and chair covers.

The staff were friendly, efficient and unobtrusive, and the quality of the food was excellent.  Everyone who attended commented that it was a thoroughly enjoyable day, and some of the best food they had ever had at a wedding breakfast.

My overall experience was absolutely wonderful, and I would put most of this down to the professionalism of the staff involved in the organisation of my wedding day itself.  I would not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone who was interested in having their wedding at the Winter Gardens.

A big thank you to all of your staff for successfully running our event. The event itself is very high profile and it is crucial that it goes to time and without a problem.

We were extremely pleased with everything from the room layout to the smooth and timely dinner service, the helpfulness of all the staff and all the effort that went into putting our flag on the roof!

We definitely will consider the venue for future events and when the awards come back to Somerset we will hopefully be back in touch.
